Description:

The Camera Detector utility has the process camdet~.exe as its main program launcher. Generally, the camdet~.exe file is a part of the Camera Detector process which belongs to the ACDSee program. The executable file camdet~.exe has an icon placed in the MS Windows System Tray. The actual icon of the application ACDSee utility software is located on the desktop screen, and allows the application to be accessible.

Once the camdet~.exe application detects that there is a camera or imaging device connected to the system, it prompts the user of the devices availability. The software then gives the option to automatically grab image and video files from the device. Once downloaded, the camdet~.exe process runs at startup.
